VIPASSANA
Our mind is attracted by physical and conceptual sensory experiences. Often this has the potential of becoming a compulsive loop that can be difficult to break, which can result in a state of un-satisfaction, distress or un-ease.
Through Vipassana, an ancient form of Indian Buddhist meditation, we can learn about and train our minds to avoid continually chasing these “desires of the senses” and attachment to external factors.
Vipassana consists of developing high levels of concentration ( Samatha ) and a deep vision of reality ( vipasyana ).
Together we can learn to maintain a state of continuous attention, of mental presence in order to bring out the awareness of our natural mind.
